Pagan symbols that lost theyr meaning when our people converted to catholicism.
Mostly these symbols are for sun and moon.
I remember when my Grandma used to tell me about a similiar tatoo, And it’s true that it was related to the sun she said it has something in connectin to the “Dita e veres” ( The day of the summer ).
Although you might find very similiar Tatoo’s al over the balkans, Mostly in Dalmatia and Bosnia.
Stories say that women mostly did these tatoo’s so when the ottomans came in they couldnt touch them as it was haram to take a tatooed women.
