      It’s a completely normal thing. Turkey is a secular state, after all. A Turk can be a Christian too—who cares? Turks have nothing against Christianity or any other religion. It’s a personal choice; we don’t live in the Middle Ages.

      Turkey wants peace and prosperity in Syria—nothing less. This way, refugees can happily return to their country and live there with pride. We want Syria to be a peaceful, prosperous, and safe country.

      There is also propaganda on X / Twitter by bots + foreign actors where old footage of Assad Bombings in Syria during the civil war is shown and its being labeled as “Islamists are attacking Christians in Syria” – its orchestrated to undermine the current administration taking form in Syria right now. The parties responsible are Russia, Israel and possibly USA (through Elon Musks AI bot program Eliza AI Agent).

      As a Bosnian Muslim I just can say: Even in the hardest war, we never aimed with systematically with intention (some idiots excluded) at churches or other religious buildings etc.

      Example in Bosanska Krupa. 3 religious objects in 1 street. Our conflict was ethnically and fired up from external powers. People between each other rarely have problems and help each other out.
