This is when you know the government end is near….when they start arresting journalist to silence them. It is also an indicator of dinosaurs running the country. Extinction long overdue

Every person in the protest is a journalist with camera editor publisher and media in the palm of their hand.

      Good luck silencing them

    2. Nemanja Šarović, a right-wing politician turned journalist was detained today in Belgrade. He was interviewing people participating in a counter-protest to the student protests that have been going on in Serbia. The actual protests are against decade-long corruption that led to the fall of a canopy on a reconstructed railway station killing 15 people. The counter-protest is believed by many to have been organized by the ruling party. All of the participants share the same brand of tents, many tents are empty, and many seem not of the right age to be students. These are supposed to be concerned students who “just want to study”.

While I don’t like the guy at all (he’s quite right wing, anti-western, pro-Russian etc) this is really fucked up. He literally didn’t do anything except interview people that cussed him, provoked him, attacked him, spilled coffee on him. Cops didn’t do anything against those and then ordered him to leave for “his own safety”. I would never vote for this guy but this is yet another hit against free speech and democracy in Serbia, if we even had any at all

It won’t help the government. They’ve lost already. Go Srpski people!

He deserves it. Opposition media doesn’t let people who want to study speak at all, student was interrupted x number of times, this journalist was annoying and got what he deserved.

in other news, the eu is very concerned about the escalation of tensions and calls for a peaceful dialogue between the students and their partner, vucic

    7. Began? They’ve been doing it almost always since at least 1990.

      Also important info:

He was reporting on the Students 2.0 “anti-government” protests. Students 2.0 is a group claiming they aren’t supported or for any political party and are just students who want to countinue studying to not lose their college year, they also claim that the student blockades in Serbia were decided by a minority, which already is dumb enough, but it gets even more crazy there is solid evidence that the Student 2.0 group is supported by the government, since most of them are fake students and have jobs and live in different cities(the “protest” is taking place in Belgrade) and also it was confirmed that one of them was at a meeting of the ruling party while the leader of the “protest” has appeared on most of pro-government TV. It doesn’t take a genius to realize this is a play by the Serbian government.

While the journalist, Nemanja Šarović, was reporting on the protests, many “students” tried getting away from the camera. One girl started yelling at him, while one guy spilled coffee on him. A policeman told him to leave the scene, as to not escalate the situation, he told him that he was not the one escalating the situation. The policeman called backup and he was then forced into a police car…

Never thought I live to see the end of the world as I know it.

It’s happening on so many fronts now, with everybody turning on each other. I

almost like the all governments know something big is on its way and need total control before it happens
