      This is great news for Canada, the UK and EU. He did a fantastic job for the Bank of England and knows how both the UK & EU markets work, looking forward to how he works with us all! He’ll do a fantastic job leading Canada out of the bullshit with the US too!

      I mean he won’t be for long. The Liberals have no chance in the upcoming elections due to inflation.

      It’s just a tough time for incumbents.

      It’s just tough to win the elections as the incumbent when inflation is out of control

      This is one of the disadvantages of democracy in that it is very short-sighted

      With Carney as the new Liberal leader, Canada’s Liberal party is far better poised to beat the Conservatives in the next election. Like Carney or not, this win is a good thing for Canadians and the EU.

      I’ll take anyone over Poilievre, not so long ago Canada seemed to be poised for being ruled by its own flavour of demented Maghasts. It seems Trump and his 51st state rhetoric have been a wake up call for many Canadian voters.

      Justin was our globally famous movie star. He could reach 100M people with a moving message.

      Carney is the guy any world leader would call for advice on how to control the US economically and monetarily, as a globally coordinated community of democracies, to shift the balance of power away from the Russia-US axis.

      Now, he’ll hold our pointy stick pointed south.

      Elbows up. Drop gloves. Solidarity.

      I hope he brings us closer to Europe. Oil and gas pipelines, increasing our defence spending to support Europe, etc.

      Haven’t researched too much, but I hear he’d be a good person to help in the tariff situation. I’m sure Europe will be interested in more trade agreements. Only Canadian thing I saw on shelves while shopping was maple syrup, wouldn’t mind seeing more.
