      It was always happening but it really turned into a torrent after the HSE hack.

      The vast majority of this is one crime gang which has gained a massive foothold over here. The tactics they use to recruit is absolutely disgraceful also.

      I’m still worried about my 4 kids running around Dublin without a phone because it got smashed and needed me to text their friend on a number.

      Every now and then getting texts about that I haven’t paid the M50 toll.

      I don’t own a car.

      I get an email from Google when my personal info is found on the Dark Web

      37 times so far. Passwords, email address, name have all been found via data breaches.

      It’s crazy we don’t have controls in place to stop spoofing of numbers ect.

      You just have to be super vigilant.

      I must have blocked nearly 20 Belgium numbers within a month & a if they leave a voicemail it’s about confirming a payment from my revolut

      Little tip, next time you get a call from a number you don’t recognise, pick up, don’t say a word, if it’s a scam call, they’ll hang up and your number won’t be tried again.

      I’ve been free of these calls for ages doing that

      Its got so bad that I got a new work number last week which ive not given to anyone on a brand new account and ive already got calls from Belgium.

      Belgian numbers calling me every day even after I blocked them, pain in the arse.
