      Imagine, you are a super hacker able to shut down X and yet, you use your home IP address from Ukraine to do that. wouldnt be surprised if he just shut the service down on purpose just so that he could blame Ukraine and justify shutting down starlink.

      My full time job is analyzing, mitigating, preventing DoS attacks for large global orgs. The country of origin of the IP is essentially meaningless, especially as a standalone fact with no context. It’s unfortunate so many people believe someone so clueless.

      And everybody with a wee bit of security knowledge knows that attribution is very very difficult because things such as proxies exist. Or tor exit nodes. Or vpns, or whatever. Could be hacked and commandeerd home routers.
