I don’t believe anymore to any graph, statistic on internet. This is pure fucking propaganda. I want true graphs of how many new drug addicts, how many babies were born, how many imported, how many suicides….that graphs will open people’s minds

The main reason it has not been created so far is that the member states distrust each other and have their own interests.

For example, the European army is often discussed with the West in mind, but the southern flank is being overlooked.

Until all parties reach a genuine agreement on cooperation and mutual trust, the creation of a European army will not move forward.

They finally stopped using the national flags for the No-Options it seems, good.

Well, I do not think we will see a european army per se soon….BUT we already see a lot of military consolidiation. Not to the degree we get some major weapons system for all of europe, like one type of tank, one type of personal weapon etc…..but at least it is going down from like 16 types of different systems of the same class to maybe 3 or 4.

I’m from 🇷🇴 and I totally agree with that. I would go to war to defend any European country, and to defend our land.

There is just zero political momentum for it. It would also mean, that each EU country would give up its military sovereignty towards EU institutions and who would become the commander in chief?. Nobody is going to do that. Certainly not with the current state of the EU. We need more progress with the EU integration. Like the EU passport or the EU constitution. We couldn’t even do that. Since than, the EU is just lethargically status quo. We can’t even change the veto mechanism and get rid of Orban.

Give it a cool name too. European continental army or something like that.

Any EU army will need the involvement of the UK and the burden will have to be equally split/ shared between the main parties and not a situation where the UK is doing more than its fair share and France isn’t.

Crazy they almost elect an anti-EU party and are debating remaining in the Schengen zone. One has to wonder if they know just the what the fuck they want!

Honestly, how is this even a discussion? Shit or get off the pot. The EU has been around like what, 30 years now? And no army? The whole world (except apparently Trump) sees how much of a threat Russia is… it’s way beyond time that the EU had a well armed, well funded, standing army… let’s goooooo

This will never happen. NATO serves this purpose. Just recreate new version without the USA. Europe is not the USA. It’s comprised of multiple countries, many of which don’t like each other much. Most are only in the EU not for altruistic reasons but because it helps them economically. Even if there was a movement for a European Army the wealthier countries would realize that they would bear the bulk of the cost so why not just put that spend into their own army which after all could be used to support another country if they so chose. Just like France is doing with her nuclear capabilities.

Good luck mobilizing it. We all saw the tantrum a few days ago when the idea of conscription was raised.

What is ‘Net Result’ supposed to mean?

The fact 12% opposes doesn’t mean you can just subtract that from 84% in favor to get a ‘net result’ of 72%.

Honestly I think a joined command and more exercises and harmonizing between all the national armies would be a better route to take.
