Edit : travel date is 21 march
There are border checks when you travel to France until at least April 30th.
You can buy it 4 days before.
And you need to activate it 5 min before train is at you station i think
I would say that you will get your actual ticket/voucher 4 days before departure. (Its not a flexible ticket that u can use in the span of 4 days)
I understand: you can buy the ticket now, you’ll get a receipt, but the official ticket (the travel document) will only be issued 4 days before departure.
If you are not on the platform 5min before departure, you’ll be held responsible if you miss your train (but I don’t know how they can prove/enforce it… maybe they could close the door or even leave 5min early)
Since all e-tickets are nominative, you must be able to show a valid ID document along the travel ticket (if requested).
From how I read this:
* The app will send you the ticket itself via the form you request it in after the 17th of March but not before
* You have to show up to the platform in order to take the train, and the train will leave without you if you are not on it. It is possible that the train could leave up to five minutes early and its still your fault if you are not on it.
* If the ticket agent might ask you for an ID, and compare the name on the ID to the name that you provide for the ticket. If they do not match, the ticket will not be valid for the journey
* Advance Booking: Tickets available from 4 days prior to departure.
* Prompt Arrival: Passengers must be on the platform 5 minutes before departure.
* ID Required: Proof of identity is mandatory.
You’ll need to download the actual boarding pass for the TGV in advance, a few days before departure.
pretty straightforward
Looks like you’re traveling with OuiGo Train Classique, so let me quickly explain what’s happening here because it’s a funny structure. As opposed to other international services, NMBS/SNCB does not issue the tickets for the Brussels-Mons-Paris OuiGo route themselves. Instead, the SNCB system will “tell” the OuiGo ticketing system that you’ve booked a ticket, and OuiGo will then send the ticket directly to you 4 days prior to departure. This is because of how the OuiGo ticketing system is set up.
Nothing to worry about, you book the ticket, and take the train you booked, sitting in the seat you are allocated. If you want somewhat more booking freedom (for instance, a free addition of luggage), you can book directly on OuiGo.com. Either works.
They’re comfortable trains (I11 coaches), and I personally enjoy the slower, sightseeing way of travel. Hope you’ve got a great trip, OP.
Those are the OUIGO trains. It just means that SNCB International does not provide your ticket directly–OUIGO will send it to you 4 days before departure.
I don’t know what language you speak but you can change it in the upper right corner to NL/ENG/FR/DE.
I also don’t really understand the question since the wording of the conditions are literally what they mean, what do you even mea by “i can still buy them by this price”? since they don’t mention anything price related at all..
