US to lift pause on intelligence sharing with Ukraine and will resume security assistance
We’re now hearing from the US State Department on the meeting between US and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia.
The US will immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and will resume its security assistance to Ukraine.
The two countries took “important steps towards restoring durable peace” for Ukraine during today’s meeting, the State Department added.

Good.. but they already have a lot of blood on their hands

      > US to resume intelligence

The title certainly works in both meanings

    4. borisslovechild on

At this point, would anyone in the Ukraine trust the quality of that intelligence?

    5. Prestigious-Tree-424 on

Trust but Verify, no one can trust putin loving Donald.

For two days and then the orange turd will find another random reason to stop it again and a week later he will start it again and so on

what for me is not clear. how can ukraine and the US make a deal for these minerals and rare earth metals, when russia is sitting on it in the donbas region??

    8. InvertReverse on

It’ll take an election to bring intelligence back in the US.

By security assistance do they mean aid/arms deliveries as well? That’s good!

I shudder to think what they had to conceed to get that agreement out of them…

    10. Shibyashi on

Yeah, in exchange for accepting the peace deal, which is harsh, put mildly. Russia gets everything it wanted.

    11. Good news!

I just hope Trump doesn’t change his mind soon again. He is so back and forth with other things, one day saying something and the next day the opposite, that you really can’t be sure what the future brings.

What a shitshow, still better than nothing I guess. Slava ukrany

    13. Beneficial-Pitch-430 on

Hmm… so they are going to present the plan to Russia, while Putin already said he will NOT negotiate??

    14. amcape30 on

I thought for a minute there they had got rid of Trump. That would be intelligent

Is the uS also resuming cyber warfare against Russia. Never forget that was pulled for no reason.

France and Britain stepped in and saved the day, and orange rapist couldn’t handle not being the centre of attention, “here I am to save you from my previous actions”.

    17. Slughorn12 on

Could have been that they paused it in this short timeframe because some short lived intelligence was recorded and kept from Ukraine, which is now a trap for them in some way.

Could be an attempt at posturing real consequences to force more favourable deals.

The U.S. is resuming intelligence: it’s throwing Donald Trump out?

    19. cortlandjim on

That turd changes his mind constantly. Almost like he has dementia….

    20. MajorKabakov on

Yeah. U.S. to resume intelligence….maybe 4 years from now. Maybe.

Remember, the same 78 million Cletuses that put us in this mess are still out there, just dying to vote in Don Jr

    21. AggressivePayment834 on

If only that applied to voters in the US as well..

    22. LyqwidBred on

At this point do we have confidence that the US is not passing information to Russia at some level?

The US government is not a reliable or trustworthy ally at this point, sadly.

    23. RhetoricalOrator on

With everything that’s been going on, can you trust that intelligence?

    24. huxtiblejones on

This administration is unbelievably stupid. They have no idea what they’re doing. These are drastic swings in policy that point to a truly discombobulated executive with no fixed views on anything. That’s how Trump has always been — weak to flattery, impressionable, contradictory. I can’t believe people put this guy in a second tenure, he is objectively foolish.

    25. DisIsMyName_NotUrs on

They could and are willing to take it away at any moment. Whilst this is good, French intelligence should still take priority

    26. Candygramformrmongo on

      1. Use the intel to hit the Russians harder before they agree.

      2. Europe better not fucking relax on replacing Starlink.

US and intelligence are words that are not usually part of the same sentence. No offense tho non-magas.

    29. Paused it long enough for Ukraine to lose Kursk, effectively undermining the last “card” Ukraine had for negotiations. Sickening.
