      Hello fellow Europeans, I hope I’m not breaking any rules by publishing this.

      I develop alone and full-time a social network in France, hosted in France, working only with French and European partners.

      I saw a lot of complaints here about the lack of European alternatives since the US election, so I felt the urge to show you my project.

      I’ll let you check the landing page to learn more about this privacy-focused project of mine, but let me add some important information.

      The website is currently in development, the version 1.0.0 is cooking and will revamp a lot of things, mainly because I’m self-taught and I learn everything along the road so I had to rewrite a bunch of things, but also because the project became more and more ambitious, and changed a bit its course in the making. For example the current emphasis on the gaming side of the platform will be drastically minored in 1.0.0 because it became a wider project and I want to make it a real and serious alternative to non-european solutions.

      Um, it’s going to have to have *some* ordering and filtering, doubly so if you want to show users content from users they aren’t following (or whatever the term is here) already. That’s accomplished through an algorithm. I mean, I get what this is supposed to mean, but the word “Algorithm” does have a meaning beyond the buzzword.

      I thought this was sick so i tried to make an account immediately, now i can’t log in as it says im using the wrong credentials. I checked multiple times and im definitely typing it in correctly. I asked for the “forgot my password” email but i didnt receive it.

      I’m wondering if i did something wrong?

      So, how does moderation work on this platform?

      Is it like TwitterX where you can be an open nazi or is it like Bluesky where you get banned for a single joke at the expense of trans-women?

      Honestly, I think the idea of pressing a button and getting a nice list of games to press, leading to “tweets” related to the game, is very nice. I like the design of the site. But if it’s centralised then it will probably not take off.
