A waste of government money to even prosecute people for enjoying a nearly harmless plant. Meanwhile the politicians who allow this injustice to continue are racking up massive bar tabs with taxpayer money and doing jack shit to improve the country for residents. The reefer-madness shit is for the 1950s.

Stop with this insanity. Legalize, regulate, and commercialize for the good of public health and our tax coffers.

Complete and utter waste of money and time by the Gardai. Cahir, meanwhile, has gangs of scumbags out and about causing havoc. Thank God the gardai sorted these stoners out though. Priorities.

*Garda Michael Cussen searched Mr Sweeney under the Misuse of Drugs Act, and found €20 worth of cannabis herb. Mr Sweeney was charged with having unlawfully in his possession a controlled drug, namely cannabis herb. He has no previous convictions.*

*Judge Brian O’Shea directed Mr Sweeney to pay €150 to the court poor box by May 1 next, and if paid, the probation act would be applied. If not paid, Mr Sweeney would be convicted and fined the same amount.*

It’s absolutely ridiculous this ever made it in front of a judge.

You would have to wonder on what basis of bullsh1t they got the warrant to search the home of the lad with 50 quid worth of weed

It must be very embarrassing for the force and those that signed a warrant

Jesus christ, do the Gardai not have better things to be at?

    9. If he’s avoiding a criminal record his name shouldn’t be printed. All a potential employer has to do is Google him. I fucking hate shitty regional newspapers and their court pages (gossip pages).
