He’s not wrong. He’s purposefully manipulating the situation for his own (perceived) gain and he listens to advisors with strong ties to Russia. Whether he himself is a Russian agent, or just an asset, it’s impossible to tell, but I’m not sure the distinction matters at this point – the consequences of his actions do.
