      That’s a hit.
      All kinds of decorative chrome is just decorative, expendable.
      For tools you can have a different finish.
      But you need chrome as a compound for a lot of better steels like inox or CroMo.
      And in case of hydraulics you have these shiny rods with an extra thick layer of chrome.
      Also if you have electrolytic zinc plated steel (screens, tin) you don’t want that
      the zinc oxidizes too fast. For this the zinc surface is passivated with chromic acid,
      giving the bluish or golden color.

      Sanctions work, given time. We need to tighten more, and more enforcement of those sanctions.
