Why would they want a truce? There has been zero pressure applied to that terrorist, and he knows aid to Ukraine will be cancelled (again).

You have to force him to it. US hasn’t, and in fact has blamed Ukraine at every stage. Europe has sent nice supportive tweets but has delivered very little and sadly I’m afraid cannot operate with the US.

He spent 22 years gearing up for this. His plans were never a mystery.

FFS he was brainwashing his country right in front of the whole world for more than two decades. If you watched their tv shows it was endless bullshit and lies about new & old stuff in history that’s centuries past, with the west & the US ALWAYS the bad guys. Always.

He invaded Chechnya, he invaded Georgia, he invaded Ukraine, he re-invaded Ukraine, He wants the old Soviet Union borders back. That’s been clear as fuck for ages. And he’ll do anything to achieve it.

It’s like his own twisted life mission: bringing back Soviet Union borders along with all the blood and torture that nations suffered the last time around.

And Russia is no friend of America. Despite what that orange moron thinks

      >The Trump administration now has a choice to make: it can give Putin what he wants (the path seemingly preferred by Witkoff), or it can firmly support a fair deal and demonstrate to the world that American power is principled and reliable. Whatever path the Americans choose, it should now be clear to any observer that the Kremlin’s commitment to “peace” is hollow and that Putin is little more than an unrepentant warmonger.

This is a big test for the Trump regime, there are still a majority of Americans who fought and have relatives that died fighting against exactly what Putin wants. I’m old enough to remember the commercials for “The Iron Curtain”, it was scary for a child then, it’s even scarier as an old adult.
