      Imho, inmates when they get out are usually angrier than when they got in and it is because there is no “reformation/re-education programs”, so inmates when they get out are totally lost, no confidence and no money (let’s admit that for an ex-convict is hard to find a decent job!!!)

      Additionally, most of the prisons are sh*t and inmates are treated badly, there are no programs and criminal organisations have power inside the prisons.

      I believe a government that spends a lot of money on inmates is a good one, we are all humans and we can make mistakes, if you’re arrested and imprisoned you should reflect while you’re at it, and once you’re out to still have chances/opportunities to work and be a respectable human being, to work and to have a family.

      In my opinion this is what prisons are for: reeducation and reintegration to the society for inmates, not a “school for criminals”
