Just because you don’t like his party doesn’t mean he should be attacked.
I wish him the best in a speedy recovery and hopefully the peelers get those who attacked him.

Some seriously immature people in this thread.
Membership of the political party doesn’t come into what happened here.

Horrible thing to happen to anyone. Doesn’t say where exactly in London it was but if he had been to the theatre and was close to his hotel then you can’t imagine it would be in a particularly “rough” spot, or that he was out very late. It’s only natural to be somewhat relaxed and not on full alert if you’re in an area where you don’t expect something like this to happen.

I’m not being funny but he may as well get used to it as a wake up call to the way we’re headed

This is obviously awful but it’s an absolute rookie error having your phone out in public in London.
If you need to take your phone out make sure you have your back to a wall and are gripping it tight with both hands.
Phone theft is absolutely rampant, I have seen 15+ people have their phones stolen right in front of me since I moved to London 2ish years ago.

Shit buzz. Hopefully the person that did it is caught. London has more cctv than anywhere else. (Maybe China) not a ff fan by any means. But glad he seems to be OK. Could of been much worse if he had of hit his head on something on the way down. Horrible thing to happen to anyone..

I was at a work Xmas event a few years ago. It was my first time in London in about 10 years. It was a black tie event. Being a bit simple, I decided to walk to my hotel which was a 10 to 15 min walk. 4 African American lads, where one walked alongside me and I asked him to keep his distance. Surely enough, he goes for my watch. We got into a scuffle. I kept the watch. What a kip of a city.
