They should return it home. And regift it to another more deserving country.
The article makes fun of it half way through, instead of showing a little bit of introspection.
Ofc it’s not a serious demand but it has symbolic meaning and that should be taken seriously!
We (the US) don’t deserve it anymore. We certainly don’t embody it’s ideals. I foresee us becoming a bitter, deluded, self-hating country. It didn’t have to be this way.
Or at least say thank you!
