No shit. Bookies in every town
It’s everywhere and it’s disgusting. A lot of lads can hardly discuss sport without betting entering the conversation.
I’ll put the occasional €5 bet on (but generally just enjoy using the free bets or bonuses dished out by bookmakers) to have a little skin in the game beyond an emotional investment but to all the boys you hear claiming they are winning hundreds of euro on accumulators on a weekly basis, it is so abundantly clear that you are, in reality, coming off worse for wear.
The house always wins.
Has anyone else noticed an increase in gambling ads on mobile apps recently?
I don’t gamble at all, let alone online, not even the lotto. I block cookies etc anyway. Bombarded with gambling ads.

I’m seeing my nephews all placing bets during matches on their apps. They are placing bets all the time. I asked a couple of them if they ever withdrew money from the app. They didn’t.
When I was in college I placed the odd bet myself in the bookies, but this is ridiculous now. Its a massive problem.
