Ragazzi, ho bisogno di qualche aiuto per capire questa lettera. Onestamente non ne capisco più della metà. Capisco il quadro generale ma non i dettagli. Cosa faresti in questo caso?
    Grazie in anticipo.

    1. You/the driver drove so fast, that they are opening a court case against you / the driver.

As the owner of the car you are required to tell them who drove the car that day. (Fill out the form with their details).

After that, they will issue a „Strafbefehl“ against that person. (Not sure about the correct English translation, maybe „Summons“?). Only then will the accused driver be granted access to their documents (including foto proof).

Edit: looked it up: you can expect a fine of >400 CHF (plus admin and court fees of several hundred) but LIKELY won’t have your license suspendedY

you got fined for speeding – second page is for when another driver and not the registered owner of the vehicle was driving

      Bottom line:

You were caught speeding and will be not so politely asked to take a hike instead of driving.

    4. You were so much over the speed limit, it won’t be just a fine, which would be issued without further details. The police is asking who was driving the car at the time, because the person will be prosecuted and lose their license for at least a month.

Your car was recorded driving about 30 km/h above the speed limit and now you need to provide the details of the person who drove the vehicle at that time.

It will go to court and the penalty will be determined based on the person’s previous records. I would calculate with a minimum of CHF 1000 and maybe way more depending on the driver’s income (nor sure about that). Could even result in permanent or temporary loss of driving license.

If you have a “rechtsschutz” insurance they’ll maybe cover the administration fees of the court.

    6. As the owner of the car, you‘re obliged to provide the details of the driver which caused the traffic violation. Since 26 km/h can‘t be paid with a regular fine („Ordnungsbusse“) they need to know more. Check the „Rechtliche Informationen“…if someone of your family drove, you don‘t need to tell anything…

You can try to remain silent and don‘t comply but in my opinion it‘s better to accept your faith and learn something from it for the future!

The brakes can be activated by pressing the second pedal from the right
