Pretty sure this breaks several EU laws. The European Union enforces laws to protect LGBTQ+ rights, emphasizing non discrimination and equality. Pretty sure this would break the treaties they signed. 🌈
Hungary is speed running fascism and trying to beat america at their own hate game. Typical methods used by extremists. They start by targeting one out group and pretty soon they move on to the next minority group.

As a gay Hungarian that moved away years ago, I used to think that I may have been a bit dramatic for moving away, but now I see that my gut feeling was right. Maybe things will be OK eventually, but holy shit, living as a second class citizen that is banned from the public eye would ruin my mental health.
