Serving in the army is no moral failing in a country with mandatory conscription. What an utter tool. He wouldn’t apply that standard to anyone else.
If ever something summed up PBP it’s this. 2 people spit on a man yet the issue they have is with the framing of the person being spat on, not the fact 2 animals spit on someone. Amazing times we live in.
He doesn’t want to talk about the spitting part because there’s talk of an investigation going on, but he kind of wishy washy wants to defend it by talking about it anyway without talking about it by mentioning the guy was in the IDF, which is mandatory.
So easy to say “the focus should be on Israel’s continued and renewed attacks, but obviously we don’t condone spitting on anyone in a bar in Dublin”.
Did anyone expect anything else?
Paul Murphy is desperate to be in the media all the time, so is the rest of the gobshites crew and they will say anything they think is controversial to get into the media

Why does this guy get so much coverage/airtime? A fringe party with a tiny vote yet he seems to have a residency on Newstalk where they ask his opinion on absolutely everything.
Really shows his true colours by refusing to accept an Israeli citizen can be anything other than an IDF soldier even if all they did was serve their conscripted period.

I don’t know anything about this case here but I’m going to warn everyone here that you can’t trust shit you read about anti-Israel stuff online. A couple of weeks ago there was news agents talking about a “pogrom” in Amsterdam, talking about how innocent Israeli football fans were attacked in the streets of Amsterdam. What actually happened is the Israeli fans were climbing buildings and ripping down Palestinian flags people had up. They were going through the streets at night singing death chants about the Palestinian people and generally harassing the local population and tourists there. When people stood up against these bullies that’s how the media portrayed them. Very disappointed in Paul’s words here. Somebody got spit on. Ffs like. And he can’t say that he disagrees with that? My opinion of him has just completely changed. Shame on you Paul.
