I doubt any of them knows what they stand for. The arrest is not how western media has potraid it. The accusations are big and there are many proofs.

This solidifies the end of that mayor

Anytime these politicians do things like this the result are nothing

The support from European allies is very meaningful and encourages the people defending democracy as they resist the political fundamentalist Islamic dictatorship of Erdoğan.

That’s cool, but isn’t this the guy without a college degree, which is a requirement. Or is that one of the other countries?

    6. motusubaru on

Ah yes but EU leader must condemn Erdogan firstly ! You cannot ignore this just because of Russia.

And that’s the response from Europe. Turkish friend, don’t expect much more from the EU—Europe is interested in keeping Erdogan, the dictator, in charge of Turkey.

Bravo, this is what we need and more. We need more people to speak up.

After TR and UKR, next stop is Europe. They are comming for all of us.

Okay. I apologize for highjacking this post. Obviously the Turkey protests are their own thing and are very relevant.

I just needed to say to all of those “What do you want EU politicians to do about the protests in Serbia?!”

Well, at least some support for the protests or a condemnation of the asshole in power here. However, we won’t see that because they like having him around for Lithium, etc… But yeah. We didn’t even get this in 4 months!

    10. Is it just me, or does Turkey kinda supporting Ukraine/EU/whatever and being against Russia sort of feel like a Trojan horse situation?

It feels like they’re trying to get Turkey in while Europe unites, so that Turkey can dismantle us from inside.

But do they stand for democracy in Palestine. Thought not. Their favorite leader in Europe isn’t even holding elections

Off topic. Sorry if we Italians are cringe. This video is great, don’t get me wrong, but we all know that we are the cringiest nation in the EU. Whenever I see our politicians deal with European stuff I feel ashamed even if they do the right thing, because everybody knows we are a clown nation

    13. They are going to use this genuine support as propoganda material saying that Imamoglu is funded by outside forces and here is the proof.

Thank you to everyone showing support.

To the turkish youth reading this: Remember our forefathers words. You are the future of this country. The republic stands and falls with you. Stand up. Show them who the children of Atatürk are.

    15. Thank you! We’re so tired of this regime. My country and people suffered under Erdogan for years. I just want to hope that something will change soon.

That usa’s democratic party kind of protest, lot of words, no effect.

Title is technically not wrong, but it’s just Italians plus 1 French! 😂

    18. tomtex32 on

Of course, they do. If they don’t, they’ll go to prison.
