Catfish or not, doesn’t sound like the school followed the correct dismissal procedure, they’re fucked either way

The case is back up in court next week, the school can’t take any disciplinary measures until then.

The whole thing is going to blow up when someone gets names or accused and can’t handle the online abuse they will receive. I would be worried for anyone on the receiving end of the accusations and how they react. The whole thing should never have been dramatised like it has
Not so sure why people are annoyed that they named her? If there was wild speculation that you did something that you didn’t do would you not want to go on record as having not done it? Or am I missing something?

They didn’t name her but if this woman was identified off the information they put out there, and some of the accusations they put out there aren’t 100% true then they might be in bother

I don’t know whether she is the catfish or not but I hope she is because more than likely her career as a teacher is over either way. I’d hate to think an innocent person is having their career ruined like this.
That said, I can see why parents might be concerned.

Well, since the Johnny that was catfished actually met his catfish, it’d be quite easy to get him to prove whether she is the subject of the catfish story. And since the 2 johnnys had welfare checks performed on the catfish, it would again be likely also easy to prove whether she is the subject of the catfish story. Interesting that articles mention welfare checks were performed on this woman, who claims she is not the catfish….
Since catfishing isn’t illegal technically, even if she was the catfish she might have a case that the disciplinary action is unfounded. I’m not sure the school has a leg to stand on here unfortunately, true or not the allegations.
