Mr Tayto ci stringe di nuovo! Tagliare i sacchi da 37 g a un misero 35G ora. Un paio di anni fa la borsa standard era di 45 g. Quando finirà questa avidità? Compreremo sacchi d’aria abbastanza presto

Forget the shrinkflation, they’re just plain inflating them too.

A standard 37g bag is 2e in Spar on Dame St. Not far off what you’d pay for 170g pringles tin. When I was a kid there was a chasm between those products.

      That’s your problem right there.

The cost and size of crisps is a joke for the potato capital of the world

Mental to me that the contents of your average bag of Tayto is about one half of a normal potato.

The biggest tragedy is when they parted ways with emerald park

Everything is smaller. I had a Boost from a multipack last week. I could close my fist on the thing and hide the whole bar.

That’s fucking snack size, not regular size!

I really feel like the Consumer Protection Commission in Ireland is completely useless because it doesn’t have the resources or the legislation to do it’s job properly. It should be their job to maintain databases on Consumer Products being sold in this country and to ensure retailers are completely transparent about their products. Shrinkflation and skimpflation are seriously deceptive practices. Expecting the consumer to keep up with all the product changes over the last 10 years is ridiculous. I feel like I’m going insane sometimes, I had a “Fun Size” Snickers the other day and it may as well have been a single Peanut M&M it was so small.

Tayto is a German owned company. Buy Irish. Keoghs are class.

Tayto is a trash product. An oily, paper-thin mess. The Irish’s infatuation with bad products is baffling

Cheaper to buy keoghs now. Premium crisps. Tayto we’re great when they were a decent price, but those days have gone.

They changed the oil they use as well from pure sunflower oil to a mix I think. Doesn’t taste the same to me anyways

I don’t understand the fuss over Tayto tbh. There are definitely way better Irish crisps.

All that will be left is the “essence” of Tayto

Picked up a share bag of Doritos at the weekend, myself and herself were sure they were smaller. Checked and the “share” size has gone from 180g to 140g with no reduction in price. Nearly 25% smaller is absolutely mental

Tbh, I have stopped buying almost all treats/unnecessary items. Probably do my health better I suppose. I rarely go out where I have to spend money, few pints once every few weeks and that will likely come to an end as there is no craic in my locals. My next car will likely be an estate, so I can sleep in it if do a few days driving holiday around Ireland. Hotel, B&B etc are just ridiculous prices. Sick of being ripped off every direction I turn. Would rather save, take extra time off without pay and spend my money in Spain or somewhere decent.

Ate one of the new magnums today, noticed it was smaller, looked the size – 70.5g.

Didn’t they use to be 90g? Or am I remembering wrong?

Also the hazelnut one is delicious.

Bought my Alpen for the month and noticed it was down from 1.1 kg to 950g. Thieving bastards
