      “A man caught with cannabis for his own use was told that by buying drugs he was paying for the lifestyles of “shady people in sunny places.”

      Judge Miriam Walsh made this comment to Martin Linehan, of 37 Lagan Grove, Mayfield, Cork, at Cork District Court.

      She also told the 23-year-old that by involving himself in this drug culture he was putting himself at risk of ending up “in a wooden suit and lowered six foot into the ground.”

      I’m very surprised it’s not legalised seems like it would free up so much resources for Garda and Courts and bring in a fair amount of tax off it.

      I work in drug treatment and everyone of us today roared laughing at this article, it’s typical Official Ireland, completely out of touch with reality. She is either as ignorant and as thick as they come or she is just doing what she can to keep the agenda going.

      What can we expect from our prohibitionist court system other than for them to be as thick as bottled pigshit.

      Prosecuting people for Cannabis is a brilliant job opportunity for Gardai as it allows them to pretend like they’re “Fighting Crime” when the reality is they know 95% will not resist and will not endanger them.
      Fighting Theft, Violent disorder, Sexual predators and the like all means doing an actual day’s work – something we all the majority of them are against.
