      > Malta safeguarded its neutrality – again in writing – during the Brussels European Council which ended last night. This was announced by Prime Minister Robert Abela in comments to TVMnews shortly after the closing of the summit. He said that the Government has no intention of budging on this issue.

      > Dr Abela said that, apart from this, he has stressed the importance of a fair single market where the European consumer or patient has the same rights. He appealed for a single market, not 27, especially when it comes to the pharmaceuticals market, and also reminded those present of the importance of connectivity for a country like Malta.
