Trump is creating a dictatorship for the USA, with only his billionaire buddies getting richer.
I guess Europe will once again achieve nothing.
Typical postmodern fairy-tale thinking. as if the world is waiting for that. However. the US is indeed rapidly turning into an authoritarian dystopia. It means we need to get our SHIT together militarily. I think in the long run it will be better for us, Europeans to chart an independent geopolitical course, balancing between great powers. To do that, we need to get of our high horse and realize that, for example, it is in our interest to have proper relations with China. We also will have to come to an understanding with Russia. While no one seems to want to talk at the moment, this conflict between them and Europe will not go away. It needs to be resolved diplomatically, or via war. Those are just facts we need to clear-eyed about.
I think Europe will be a powerhouse again in the near future, independent of the US. With a great economy, good relations with the rest of the free world and a powerful military. It will take some time but we will get there.
And will have lots of statues of Trump, who made it all possible :’-)
It will eventually happen to us given the number of alienated, hateful and incredibly stupid right-wingers swarming across the continent. The natural evolution of capitalism.

UK could very have the future of world democracy in king’s hands.
To offer a commonwealth seat to Trump, and above the shame to bend the knee in front of him, it would be leaving the fox to watch the geeses. USA gonna monetizing taxes exemptions, economic, military and intelligence supports in exchange for commonwealth lands and ressources from all over the globe, while supporting/imposing the far-right GOP politic agenda worldwide.
And obviously, with a Trump block at his West and a Putin block at his East, Europe and the last remains of democracy idea could crumble rapidly.
Or Commonwealth can choose Europe partnership and help to create a strong, democratic worldwide block vs russian America and China.
Pivotal time.
I would be happy with EU leadership. There are som concerning democracy issues in the UK at the moment.

Let them choke on their incompetence because nothing this out of touch with reality and common sense can be productive or performant in any shape or form.
The population will grow poorer while billionaires will grow richer until the common folk revolt in some form – preferably by voting them out – and maybe, just maybe, these late-stage capitalistic morons will understand that a country and a society cannot be ruled by numbers alone. They need ideals, hopes, and standards that cannot be replaced by statistics – by the way, those numbers will only continue to increase for the richest of the rich, not for everybody.
So, I say, let them choke on their inevitable incompetence and ignorance.
Europe must start attracting brain power and stop leaking brains to USA.
Also, learn how to protect against mind control technologies, which CIA has and can use to destabilize and subvert democracies in Europe.
