“Tens of thousands of people in Paris and other French cities rallied against racism and the rise of the far right on Saturday, March 22. Some protesters took aim at the US administration of Donald Trump and others carrying Palestinian flags. Police officers and some protesters clashed in Paris. The rallies occurred amid the rightward shift in French politics, with the government pledging to tighten immigration policies and border controls.
Nearly 91,000 people took part in protests across France, said the interior ministry, with the Paris rally attracting 21,500. Two people were arrested and three people injured, including a riot police officer, during the clashes in Paris, the ministry statement added. Elsewhere in France, there were three other arrests. Many of those marching highlighted the growing strength of reactionary political forces, in France but also in the United States.”
You know what is even more effective at keeping far right from power then demonstrating against it? Not voting for far right parties.

Racism doesn’t come only from whites, and religious despotism now comes not only from Christianity.
So why is the rally only against traditionalists?

Far Right in France have the vote of the working class because the Left is absolutely clueless about their needs and wants.
Meanwhile, the riches are gloating.

I know nothing of French politics, does it actually have working class left wing alternative without the modern day single digit divisive topics?
At least Finland seems to have lost the plot, and working class issues such as being taxed more in % than those making millions, unable to afford housing or rising expenses etc. have been abandoned in favour of those progressive talking points that can be gone over with a champagne glass in hand, talking from the ivory towers to the unwashed masses.

Half of those people are racist themselves. Just ask them what they think about white people.

Someone once said the Iraq war made the left insufferable. Couldn’t be truer.
It’s a shame I’m seeing this as someone with actual leftist leanings, at least from a social standpoint.

Is there any kind of facility that is observing and counting the number of world wide protests?
Apart from the longtime ongoing protests in Georgia and Serbia, I have read about so many protests in course of the past one year.
That should be somehow statistically visible.
