Probably because a little over half of Americans actually support Trump while you can’t find a single Ukrainian to approve of Putin.
Just a hypothesis.
I’m an American and it’s crazy. I’m in a progressive city, so our protests are a little better attended, but it’s still on the order of a couple hundred at our weekly events. I think people haven’t had their material conditions affected yet. People are still getting healthcare and social security. Once DOGE makes those pipes run dry, people will hopefully start getting mad, but right now there seems to be very low awareness and civic engagement even from people who do hate Trump.
Americans do not believe in burning down our cities or using violence to get a point across to the government. We believe people have a right to their political views even if we disagree. Any American who is violent and destroys the city over politics is viewed as trash and someone who does not share our values that our country was built on. To terrorize someone who does support Putin is beneath us. We are better than that.
Bro my homeland is full of Netflix and burger. We’ve also been taught that we got all our rights through voting instead of the real history.
