If you want to get Orban and his oligarchy’s attention, freeze their personal European assets. Punishment must be directed to the kleptocratic members of the Fidesz party.

Make this personal. Freeze O1G’s assets. Freeze his complicit kleptocrats’ money.

In the meantime, absolutely nothing is done about the blatant lies and discrimination against LGBT groups by certain Dutch political parties and their followers…

Hey guys, hungarian here. I’m gonna give a you a longer explonation why Orban (our PM) decided to ban Pride and how hungarians reacting to it. Probably it’s boring for the most of you tho, especially since it’s going to be long.

Right now, the ruling party in the hungarian parliament is the Fidesz, the party of Viktor Orban. They are sitting in the parliament with 2/3, which means (in a short explanations) that they can do whatever they want, for the last 16 years.

They managed to that with 2 important thing (there were actually multiple event that lead to this, but this is the most important):

1. They lawfully changed the election system so they can win more easily.

2. They created enemies so the voters can unite against them. There are multiple enemies of Orban and Fidesz, European Union (brussel), any party who is not Fidesz, leftist americans, Ukranians, immigrants, Civil Unions and the gays/LGBTQ+.

They managed to talk about gays (and any other “enemy” they have) that people started fearing them, especially in the country side, where there is no real, objective news. So, relatively quickly, people started to believe whatever the government said. They have no access to real news and they only getting information from the government which saying that the gays wants to force sex change operations on their children and raping them.

But a year ago (after multiple super dark events that could throw over the government each in a normal democracy, for example pardoning pedophiles), a guy appeared in the political stage. He was a husband of the few female government member and had information how utterly corrupt the Fidesz and Orban actually is. He got super popular super quickly. In 1 year he managed to get more voters than the Fidesz have, which is like something that no one ever dreamet about, especially since the other opponents parties never even managed to stop the fidesz to get 2/3 of the parliament seats. This guy is called Peter Magyar (Say like this: Peater Magahr). Magyar managed to win so many voters in so short time with actually aiming the Fidesz voters. Telling them about how super corrupt the Fidesz system is, why they need to wait 3 years to get an operation in the hospital, why they are paying twice as much for food since 2 years ago without the salaries ever growing and how they actively poising the citizens with factories that don’t have to obey safety laws. But Magyar never tried to win voters with the LGBTQ, because the Fidesz voters are affraid of them.

Since Magyar has more voters than the ruling party even after changing the election system AGAIN, and it’s looks like that he will be able to win the next election easily, the ruling party decided to use more drastical tools. Viktor Orban (MP) decided to promised literally everything in his latest speech, and started calling everyone who is not with them as “bug” who needs to be exterminated. Obv his goal with this to win back his voters by creating a common enemy (again), and starts to deal with his “old enemies”.

So Orban was scaring his voters with the gays for years at this point, but bc they are not wining enough voters, he will deal with them quickly to say that he protected his people and now they can concentrate on other “enemies”. So, they banned Pride super quickly, they voted for the ban faster than they changed the constituion that would allow the ban to happen. (bc they can change the constitution whenever they want since they have the 2/3 of the parliamentian seats). And the hungarians inside the capital city are not having this. They are actually have a problem with taking away rights from people, but they will win nothing by protesting against this. Not just because in hungary protesting never achived anything (for example for over a year, teenager students went protesting bc they had no teachers to teach certain topics in school, for example math/physics teachers, since than students/teachers are also enemies of the government), but because Orban and Fidesz are not made this law to win voters, but to Magyar to lose voters.

Magyar basically already won the capital city voters whose care about the gay rights, but also won a lot of voters from the country side whose hate and fear the LGBTQ. So if he would say that don’t support this new law he would lose voters from the country side, if he would say that he support this law he would lose the voters from the capital city. “This is a trap”.

So how Magyar reacted to this? TOTAL silence. He had to make a decision, he cannot talk about taking away rights from a certain group of people, bc if he would do that, replacing the government would be more difficult than it already is. (and trust me, it’s super difficult right now)

Obv this is a super dark and undemocratic law, but we, the hungarian people, basically expected that. We know that Orban and Fidesz are not going to let anyone other than him to be in power of the country. This was not the last super undemocratic law they going to make, and sadly, it was not even the first one.

Hungarians are talking about that Magyar will win the next election, or they are going to leave the country/make a revolution. Even if Fidesz would loose the election next year, there will be disaster. If they lose, there will be disaster, the hungarian economy is collapsing and if they lose, they going to leave the country in super-duper bad state. (we saw examples of this. When a major lost the elections, these major did everything to leave the settlement as bad states as they could. Stop paying for electricity, sending away the settlements money to ✨whoever✨ sonthey cannot pay electricity for one month at least, taking away rights from themself sonthe next major cannot do certain things, etc)

The change is coming in Hungary, there is no doubt about that, the question is, in what price. Pray for us, there’s nothing much you can do (since Orban planing to make illegal to get money from outside of hungary LoL)

Oh yeah very noble but the current Dutch government is a coalition that includes Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom. Same trash.

I bet they didn’t ban nazi pride

This isn’t about pride but about removing the fundemental right to assembly.

Orbán wants this to be known as pride ban because that way he can get majority of his believers behind him and since he is losing currently according to the polls and the economy is failing he has to keep his remaining voters behind him and for that he needed to do something and make up a new enemy that they can rally against.

We have to tell everyone that this isn’t about liking or not liking pride but about removing the right to assembly.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
     Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
     Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
     Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

One question though. Why Hungary is still in EU?

Living in a civilized, developed, first world nation must be awesome.

All European countries provide exceptions to “freedom of expression.” This is just another exception to freedom of expression. Over 10 times as many bloggers are arrested in the UK as in Russia per year. The entire continent is a disgrace and it’s disgraceful that the United States provides Europe any protection whatsoever – **there are no exceptions to freedom of expression in the United States.**

And it’s a damn good thing too because demagogue politicians of all persuasions love hot-button “exceptions to freedom and rights” pandering.

There is no amount of real or purported “democratic consensus” which may infringe upon the equally possessed rights of individuals.
