Not a fan of Trump but yeah he has a very valid point here and the crazy thing is that the Netherland has an insane gas reserve that they don’t want to pump up because that causes minor earthquakes in that area, so instead of paying the affected people in that area a very generous sum to move or earthquake-proof their house, they decide to buy gas from Russia and Qatar…

Yes, but there is nuance to this. Measured by gross amounts. But Russia selling crude for 1bn does not mean Russia makes a 1bn pure profit. Most of the gross amount includes cost of goods sold. Russian profits depend on oil prices but profits are maybe 5-10% on of the gross amount depending on global oil price and price cap.
All for a complete EU embargo on Russian energy but keep the facts straight.

Europe has reduced it gas imports from Russia from 40% to 8% during this time.
Europe has supported Ukraine with more dollars than the US.
Trump is a serial liar, and is cherry picking data to try to justify increasing trade with Russia, or he is just trying to change the story away from the Signal debacle!

Hey fun fact, guess which EU country is the most reliant on russian oil and gas and has made no moves to divest from it?
Is it maybe the one whose foreign minister is in Moscow when most of the EU is meeting in Paris discussing defense against russia?
The one whose prime minister is the biggest supporter of Trump in the EU?

No.
Trump is talking nonsense like he always does.

I’m not sure but having looked into the Russian oil/gas bit recently it’s complex. If Russia sells to turkey and turkey sells to Europe then it’s difficult to account for how much is Russian and how much is from the Middle East. So it’s tough to calculate and turkey can mix Russian produce with other produce and declare that it isn’t Russian is my understanding. Complex and hard to avoid, essentially more countries need to hold to the sanctions and stop finding ways around it.

Unfortunately, shamefully, according to this report, yes.
