Christ FFG HQ must have got the word out to their minions this morning. This comments section 💀
Ye go on about the workings of the Dail – the governments first act was to give more money to themselves and Lowry ministers. Think about that.
Should we just allow the government run ramshod over the opposition doing what they are suppose to be doing – opposing an attack on democratic norms in our parliament?
I note the media have also rowed in behind FFG overnight on this issue complaining about the opposition and not what the government are doing.

Whenever they figure out this mess, I hope they updated the definition of “storm in a teacup” to include this debacle as a footnote.
Meanwhile we have Russians calling for he annexation of Ireland, and Americans attacking our pharmaceutical sector, not even to begin to mention all the domestic issues we have going on.

I usually have no time for Sinn Fein, PB4P, Aontu but it is clear a grubby deal with the utterly corrupt Lowry was done and equally clear government is treating the Dail with contempt.
It is farcicial that Independents who support the government are given opposition speaking time and more than that, the lengths the government is going to in public for this implies that whatever private pork deals have been done will be waved through.
But such deals are against corruption laws. A minister has to be able to show a decision to spend public money is in the public interest not as a result of a deal with a TD for support.
The government deal with the Lowry independents including Super Junior Ministers at cabinet is unconstitutional.
And we only need look at the absolute state of the Yanks with the executive openly holding the rule of law and the balance of powers in contempt to understand that upholding the rules and the laws of are land are more important than any government or its pretensions.
Opposition is right to trenchenly oppose this open abuse of process in the chamber and flouting of the constitution at cabinet.

Any chance we could do anything about housing, healthcare, crime etc lads…. any day now.
So now they are saying the clerks in the Dail are wrong and working for the government?
