Id recommend putting it in a more secluded spot. Clear some brambles and put it there. Back in my childhood we had a hut that stood for 10 years because it was well hidden in a bramble-ridden area that we cleared some secret paths and openings in :3

I destroyed so many house forests when I was young, no regrets at all.
Also, ours got destroyed as well. A full war was happening far in the woods.
