Verona murphy is absolute poison and shouldn’t be allowed in the same room as kids anyway

Riveting stuff, I’d say the girls were delighted with that.

You’d love to see one of the kids asking a question as gaeilge.

shes clearly answering a question, if this clip wasn’t intended to deceive then it would include the question that was asked.

I had zero confidence in the Ceann Comhairle before this. I have less now.

The amount of pearl clutching going on in relation to this is impressive

Ill judged and ill advised. She is not going to last in the role long term.

That’s where I went to school. I love how she’s trying to explain her reasoning for her actions to a group of teenagers who are not old enough to vote and probably don’t give a flying fig about what goes on in Dáil Éireann.

Those poor kids , it’s not even Halloween and a witch visits.

Whatever about the school visit, who is posting on behalf of a school when they can’t even get basic grammar correct? “Roll” in the government? Embarrassing.

    11. It seems nothing is a resigning matter any more in politics, not just here but across the world. Used to be one little false claim on expenses or one misstruth in parliament or incorrect statement or affair could bring down a politician for life, bring down a government. Not any more thanks to Trump and Boris Johnson and the others worldwide who simply don’t care any more.

Investigated? By who? There was already an independent report that found she did nothing wrong.

That’s pathetic. I was thinking maybe she was just explaining the procedures for the kids but the whole thing is her bigging herself up as some feminist hero that’s being attacked by the opposition.

Are you saying children shouldn’t have an interest in politics? Can’t really tell the age but many argue for the voting age to be reduced

Not sure if it’s appropriate but it’s cringe as hell.

    16. This is the equivalent of a comedian doing lunch-time gigs to work on their material.

Is this the same one who said she couldn’t possibly explain her position to members of the Oireachtas, her electorate or journalists?

On one hand it’s cool to see young people engaging in politics in some form and staying informed, on the other hand the optics of this are objectively a little funny

Is that a school stating she is explaining her ‘roll’, some educator to ‘right’ something like that.

And god knows, I am not a grammar nazi, but by jesus, it’s a school like.
