Didn’t work before, won’t work now.
Just shows how desperate the situation is for the russians.
Thing is with Trump no one knows what he will do not even him, he might do nothing and blame Ukraine, he might sanction Russian oil into the ground or he might provide Ukraine with everything it needs to crush the Russians.
Putin is rolling the dice because the Russians have no idea what he will do and they are trying to get in front of any decision. The coming weeks will show us what Trump decides but it could be anything or nothing.
I hope when NATO joins the fight, it is three days to Moscow.

Trump is not planning significant sanctions. It is not what he said.
He said something along the lines: “if Russia does not cooperate and it turns out that the fault is on Russia – which I don’t think is the case – then I might put more sanctions”
Read again the bit “which I don’t think is the case”. He’s already put his hands forward to not sanction Russia.
