If it was China or Russia I would somehow understand but this comming from the USA? Is it a regime you are Building? Sure looks like it and I hope you Will be able get rid of the emperor before it is to late and you no longer get to wote (except for White males over 60 years that has a history of supporting the regime of course). This TV show has to end now!

      1. Take orders from US government.
      2. Take payments before delivery.
      3. Produce.
      4. Do not ship them because US law prohibits the government from getting anything from DEI companies.
      5. Enjoy your popcorn.

Do Americans need a map for everything? Is it not enough to list a few countries and that’s it? This is so weird

    4. PrincipleSilver7715 on

To the confused ones in the comments, the people they hire are qualified and professionists, most of these like 95% are just women who wouldn’t be considered in the first place just because they are women….actually they are not hiring random trans from the street..so your rhetoric doesn’t work here.

    5. TalespinnerEU on

Why am I not surprised to see my country among the cowards? (Netherlands).

By the way: ‘Not defying’ doesn’t mean ‘complying with.’ Trump’s weird ramblings on this *can* just be ignored.

Who thought someone would ever try to make it illegal to have open solicitation procedures?

    6. Appropriate_Snow2112 on

The spirit of ‘DEI’ regulations in Europe is not to force the hiring of specific individuals (by reason of gender, origin, disabilities or whatever), but to ensure that employers audit themselves and can demonstrate that hiring processes and working conditions are fair and free of discrimination.

So the aim is to guarantee that the most suitable person for a position is selected without considering external factors such as gender, race, religion, among others.

This is just the opposite of Trump’s narrative, which suggested that inclusion policies encouraged reverse discrimination…because you know, only them are REALLY qualified (/s)

    7. iwaterboardheathens on

These are just the countries who we’ve heard about

Maybe they haven’t told any other countries

    8. HolyFreakingXmasCake on

Defying? More like we don’t care because those laws don’t apply to Europe. I’m always amazed at the US media ability to twist things in such a way that it makes us sound unreasonable.

    9. living-in-the-garden on

“Europe map showing contries that will not comply with trump request for nepotism.”

There, fixed it for you. As far as I know, Trump has no rulling power what so ever over Europe.

    10. MrNixxxoN on

I dont know if I agree or disagree with Trump, but, it should be all about meritocracy, the best and most competent people should be hired, no matter the gender and all that, end of.

    11. FangGore on

Why is it worded as ‘defying’?

Trump has no say. He can scream and yell all he wants.
At the end of the day Europe can just tell him to fuck off.

    12. FollowingRare6247 on

I’m not sure what rushing a map like this does; I get the impression that it’s suggestively trying to get us to focus on the non-highlighted countries. Today, it’s one thing, but tomorrow, it could look different.

I would say we’re allowed to take time to process things, even if the answer is obvious.

    13. notyourvader on

The Netherlands isn’t on the map, but considering following the order violates our constitution, we probably won’t be able to comply.
If the US wants microchips, they’re gonna have to accept that.

    14. scarab1001 on

Do a map next of all the countries that have quietly ignored it!

    15. BordErismo on

Are there countryies complying with them? Wheres that map

    16. Apprehensive-Step-70 on

you know… those are 4 countries…. you could have literally just said “belgium, netherlands, spain and france” no need for a map

    17. primax1uk on

This map is disinformative. It doesn’t show a distinction between countries complying with the order, and countries that haven’t been demanded to comply with the order.

The UK isn’t complying. It’s simply not been ordered to comply yet. But you bet there will be push back if the order comes through.

    18. ScaredyCatUK on

This map implies that the other countries are complying which isn’t an accurate representation of the situation.

    19. HexFyber on

Next time someone of you sees a post from u/newsweek keep scrolling

    20. bond0815 on

      Thats really misleading.

EVERY country which does not change its exiting workplace regulation is defacto “defying Trumps Order”.

The real question is: Are there even any countries which have made changes to their laws because of trump at all? Anyone?

    21. I hate to be this one, but what is the difference between USA wanting EU to comply to their (new) no-DEI rules and EU wanting US Big Tech to comply to EU’s GDPR?

One can argue EU just wants GDPR for EU citizens. But well, US just asks compliance to their no-DEI rules to companies working for US government, or research funded by US.

Please don’t kill me this is an honest question, and I would be more than happy to understand the difference.

    22. ZenokFairchild on

We actually need a map with countries that complied with trump’s orders.

    23. druidpancake on

Defying? The asshat isn’t President of the world! Can we all just impeach this entire cabinet?

    24. We’re not defying anything, it’s simply none of their damn business.

    25. Inevitable_Egg4124 on

Bit of a missleading map considering the number of countries on here that have just “lmao’d” at Trumps orders and not made any official statements.

    26. SplendidPunkinButter on

Some European countries are complying with it? Why??? I ask this as an American who didn’t vote for him

    27. Mezzoski on

If anything good comes out of this, people over here would stop absorbing each and every idiocy conceived behind the pond. Once and for good.

    28. WolfetoneRebel on

Is there any European country that has actually complied?

    29. ashstronge on

How can any European country defy an order that doesn’t apply to them?

    30. GreyMASTA on

FIFY – Countries that publicly told Trump to fuck off. Most others are just ignoring the troll.

    31. There is no “defying” when there is no legal need to even listen to whatever he says. His “order” doesn’t mean anything.

    32. endisnigh-ish on

No one outside US gives a fuck about Orange Hitler’s “rules”.

    33. Siftinghistory on

Because countries can’t enforce their laws in other countries.

    34. JiminPA67 on

Oh no! Are countries that are not the United States nit following the orders of a person isn’t their leader, or even a citizen??? How awful. What is the world coming to when a sovereign nation actually expresses their own sovereignty? The unmitigated gall!

    35. AzuraOnion on

What is defying in this context.

Drumpf is not President of Europe, hardly President of US of A. Ignoring his stupid bullshit leads far.

    36. cookie123445677 on

Defying? How would a US law unenforceable in another country even apply to Europe? Did Europe participate in affirmative action?

    37. Emotional_Money3435 on

I mean… its not america so they dont have to follow their stupid agendas
