      Trump is testing the EU’s reaction.
      I believe that if the EU imposes sanctions equal in the amount of losses, then Trump simply raises the stakes in this game.
      The EU’s reaction should be so harsh that the US simply would not want to play this game any further.

      The way I see it, the rest of the world has two options:

      Option a is bow down to US. They will want economic and geopolitical “favours”. From something like debt restructuring (others might call it bankruptcy) where some countries like Japan agree to convert US debt bonds to 100 years untradable debt. It is essentially debt forgiveness. Then you have EU nations, and they will be told to trade Greenland to US, restart ruzz gas with US as a middle man, transfer car production chain from Germany to US in full etc.

      Option b the whole world does not take that shit and retaliate. Yes, it will hurt everyone, but the alternative is worse IMO. You can’t agree to economic extortion like that, there will be no end to US demands under these fascist magas.

      Plans? How fucking foolish are we in the EU? He kept saying this is coming, there should have been a plan already for when it happens.

      We are planning a response to Russian troops in Belgium. That’s about the same stupid answer. Answer should have been prepared and come right away. It should be fuck the US, we look at Asia now as our strongest partner for trade, besides within EU.

      If Asia (minus Taiwan) and the EU coordinate by cancelling all Intellectual property protections of Apple, Broadcom, Oracle, Tesla, Microsoft, Google, Meta—Trump will either fold or mysteriously die in less than a day. 

      Copyright and patent protections are the big guns of this trade war. The US has no comparable retaliation beyond revoking military support and risking Russia throwing a nuke into Europe.

      They may not happen.  The US Senate has just pulled the plug on Canadian tariffs.  Not all republicans like Trump.

      Democrats are going to do the same with his liberty tariffs.
