Hoopoe. Really unusual bird, interesting to see. Surely they’re here in such big numbers because of the unusually mild March.
Incidentally, they’re relatively common in southern Europe in the summer, I’ve seen several in Spain

I’ve seen a couple of Goldcrests in the garden over the past few days. I’ve never seen one in the flesh (feathers?) before. Not as fancy as that one, but still nice to see.
