I couldn’t care less about California. Their country is tariffing us. Not tariffing them would make them win, but not us.

Trump tried like hell to keep the Europeans apart in order to negotiate advantageously with each country… he failed and now has to deal with an economic bloc as powerful as himself.
And what’s more, he’s going to find himself with several of his states negotiating behind his back… what an exceptional buisnessman!

Great federation of EU, Canada and California. The story is getting better with everyday. We will have a free trade deal with Sino-Korea-Japanese unions. Hell is freezing, Koreas are joining, 3 years and 10 months to go

But in this situation it is. It is part of federal state, so in federal policies it’s as big part of anything happening as anyone. Their gain is country gain. Their jobs are US jobs. And if someone sells to California: they fall under same taxation as if the would sell to other state.
Moreover, yes, it is blue state. It voted Kamala. It has 2 Dem senators… but they aren’t fully blue. 9 of their representatives in House are Republicans. If only 5 of them were Democrats, they would control House. And Republicans, and trump, wouldn’t have full control over federal institutions.
So yeah, comparing to other states they might be not that bad… but they aren’t blamless for current situation.
