      If you look at any country’s name list, people like shorter names now. That’s why Tadhg, Noah, Fionn, Liam etc are all the other top ones

      It’s for people who want to have a cool kid who has got a nickname already. Screams of inadequacy. Ditto Harry. All much better than fucking Oliver, of course. Although I’m sure there’s already a tranche of Olly lads in the pipeline.

      Was I was younger the name Jack was generally for John F Kennedy. But nowadays I wouldn’t know.
