      >Last month, the president of the **ICC** called for the **European Union not to “abandon the court** and … the hope of the victims”. She demanded a more robust response to **Trump’s sanctions**.

      >Robert H Jackson, US chief prosecutor at **Nuremberg**, said we cannot afford to ignore the gravest crimes, because “we cannot survive their being repeated”. That remains true today. If this court is allowed to fail now – “an idea whose time has come”, as **Germany** described it at the time of the court’s foundation – it will be impossible to replace. That has implications for the whole world.

The problem with the ICC was that it was always hobbled by the Americans not recognising it. Now every two-bit totalitarian wannabe is wanting to do the same

The west reaction to arrest warrant for Putin and Bibi is all you need to know about west support for rule of (international)law.

      LOLOL

You realize the ICC was made to use as a weapon against those who do not obey right? As pointed out by the others, the wielders of this weapon never used it against themselves.

This rule of law you speak of was a farce. Just like justice or peace on stolen land.

If a shit like Orban is leaving the ICC it’s just a confirmation it’s a good institution.

ICC, UN, Red Cross….useless bunch wearing suits and attempting to solve problems while having a freshly baked croissant at a 5 star restaraunt after a “productive” meeting.

ICC was designed to arrest African leaders that doesn’t align themselves to western nations, and as soon as a western nation leader is under attack by the ICC, the west is abandoning the ICC. It was never about Rule of Law, it was about control.

Agreeing to listen to South African socialists’ accusations of an imaginary “genocide” in Gaza has cost the ICC a lot of credibility. It’s being used as a tool for antisemitic propaganda.

Make ICC a requirement of EU membership.. You pull out the ICC, you’re gone from the EU.

From what I can tell, Hungary is now this exception
