Spare the rod, spoil the child in the case of Trump.

Also get that defence buildout going in case unemployment creeps up. There’s no point having people unemployed while there is work to be done re-arming Europe and Ukraine.

“This is not just an economic catastrophe — it’s a real human hell! Trump, with his trade tariffs, is destroying the lives of millions of people, and all because of his political ambitions and irresponsibility! People are losing their jobs, families are left without money, and businesses are closing due to decisions made with no concern for those suffering. These tariffs are not just numbers on a stock market, they are human tragedies that cannot be ignored! How long will we silently watch as these ‘experiments’ destroy the lives of ordinary people? This can’t go on any longer! I hope this hell ends soon.”

Stock markets are just a symptom and warning that things are blowing up on everyone’s faces.

The real fun starts if and when world enters a liquidity crisis. We may have a new 2008 in our hands very soon.

      Thanks Trump!

With Chinese rare earths as part of a trade war, it’s only a matter of time before 🥭 invades Greenland / Denmark to secure its minerals.

Get ready guys, worst is yet to come.

The good thing is that they have instruments to significantly speed up EU recovery. By moving quickly and removing economic barriers within Europe they can balance negative effects of the global decline.

The question is if they are able to put the internal politics aside.

No other country except the US is questioning global trade. So just make a global alliance against the US and act as if it didn’t exist. Make the entitled and fascist Americans understand what isolationism means. Make them poor. Destroy the US dollar as the reserve currency. There is nothing to negotiate with our modern Nazi Germany. Punish them before they destroy the rest of the world, appeasement never works.

I want anyone blackmail him same like he do to other countries.

We have to hit them where it hurts. Tarrifs on products from Republican states. Digital revenue tax and other forms of taxing for US tech and service companies. Exclude the US from EU military procurement and any public contracts. Stop using US-Dollar for business deals.

But why do they never take a clear position? Why they never show strenght? Ok diplomacy but we can’t be always humiliated and blackmailed…..they just wag their tails at every order…already my country (Italy) lacks backbone like in history….other countries even if deeply offended and threatened with annexing their territories continue to act weak…I see all this as an affront. It’s like women who live with abusive husbands hoping they will change. Wake up

You know that saying “it’s going to get worse before it can get better”? But what if it doesn’t get better? It’s taken 3 months for this to happen with trump “in charge”. Think what the next 45 months will hold…..

They can meet but they can’t do anything. As DJT said:”We have the cards, EU is powerless against us, we will get paid or we will destroy their economy if they won’t pay up.”

That is Europes chance to take ober the leading role in world economics again. The situation is as significant as the end of Bretton Woods i think.

    13. ProfileOk2226 on

So, but oil in Euros then. And continue to do so until Trump changes course. China wont care, neither will Russia.

Trump might be the best catalyst for rapid economic improvements in the EU. Time for Europe to ditch the US market and focus on its own

    15. whooo_me on

He’s not just talking about tariffs, but reparations.

You can’t haggle with Trump, can’t negotiate with him. He’ll see it as weakness and demand more.

The tariff war has already started, our only choices are surrender or fight back. There are no adults in the room at the other side of the Atlantic.

If USA gets hurt and Europe gets hurt, I wonder who benefits from all this 🤔 #MRGA

The stock market issues seems to be the only thing that might actually impact Trump’s popularity. Even some of his supporters are starting to disagree, so this would be a good opportunity to actually get some sort of opposition against him. Maybe the US Congress will finally wake up and do their job (tariffs should be their responsibility).

Knowing the EU politicians, they will manage to turn this in a loss. Probably they will come with some weak declaration about how they need to be the bigger person in the room and they are open to negotiations and no tariffs will be announced. This will lead to a stop in the stock market collapse, maybe even a small recovery, enough for Trump to claim victory and solidify his popularity.
