As long as the Ukrainians keep fighting for their survival like any civilized nation, the Russians will *never* stop trying to exterminate Ukrainians. After all, the Russians with their foundational chauvinism and depravity are acting on gross [self-entitlement as “first among equals” within East Slavdom](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-Russian_nation).
Therefore, Russians will not give up until every Ukrainian is exterminated or enslaved no matter how many centuries that will take.
This is truly what the Russians mean when they snivel about what is preventing a ceasefire (never mind a proper peace treaty) in Ukraine.
