      Why is Von der Leyen concerned about a non-EU country? Are we going to keep Zimbabwe out of our battle with the US, too?

      I’m starting to get why Germany wanted to ditch this woman, and sent her to Brussels.

      So would she try to do the same if PIIGS requested her for the same exclusion? Also would she exclude Northern Ireland ? Probably not…

      What battle? The EU will offer zero tariffs on goods AND buying all the oil and gas the US wants. A lot of that will be repackaged Russian fossils sold via a reopened NS2, operated by the USA in agreement with Russia.

      This European ”project”” is over guys. Not even internal and trade policy are the exclusive domain of the commission anymore, but have to debated ad nauseam between the member states. Time to close the books.

      What does that mean in practise?

      Norway isn’t part of the customs union it sets its own tariff’s.

      I suppose she could means if they implement new non-tariff barriers against the US as Norway would be forced to implement them because it has to follow EU law.

      Why are we protecting non-members now? Why do we treat Norway better than the Americans treat Israel?
