      The EU is a joke. Trump and Putin are wrong about a lot of things but when they do stuff like negotiate on Ukraine over our heads they’re right. 

      How could anyone take us serious?

      No need to buy it though whatever the price. Apart from Scotch, Irish and Welsh whisky if you want something more exotic then Canadian whisky is good, I bought Bearface. Then there’s Japanese whisky, I’m fairly sure Yamazaki cures all ills, pricy though.

      If vodka is your tipple look out for Nemiroff it is made in Ukraine. Slava Ukraini.

      Honestly, the EU has proven to be pathetic. Like genuinely, from holding up arms deals with fishing rights, to holding up collective decisions based on what to call the operation. Now they can’t even respond to the bully who is clearly bullying them.

      I’m remain, I really want us to rejoin the EU because we should be as far away from the US as possible, but fucking hell….they’re making Brexit seem like it was the right thing to do.

      Absolutely pathetic response, really.

      Britain should look to start a new alliance, that can actuall act, the EU is weighed down by too many countries acting within its own interest only and is absolutely neutered from doing anything.

      Fuck bourbon. Go after the tech. The fact they can’t even hit bourbon is pathetic, absolute vichy France levels of capitulation.

      Some have a flippant attitude towards potential huge tariffs on EU wines entering the USA. America is the EUs largest market. Where I lived in Alsace the wine industry, the lifeblood of dozens of small towns is already shaky.

      It’s not just about a winery selling a ‘x’ thousands of bottles this year but in a village hundreds of thousands of Euros not being invested in vineyards, machinery, etc. The consequences are likely even more dire in parts of rural Italy.

      To be honest. Does not matter. The US tariffs have to pay the US citizens, not us. Just boycott this US shit and don’t buy it. Its better anyway. So you save the money and not have to pay additional tariffs/taxes on it.

      It’s a Win/Lose for us.
      It’s the Canadian way.

      EU should just fuck off and stop pretending like they will ever be unified and have a plan against American tariffs. Just come out and say you will do whatever America demands.

      Anyone who says that EU isn’t beholden to American interests are insane because all they are good at is yapping about China but when it comes to America or their own NATO partners, they stay silent.

      They should put tariffs on what consumers don’t see. Consumers will boycott what they know is American until the GOP is out I suspect.

      This is the major failing of the EU and to be fair most government. Its too slow. If we want to hurt companies in the US do it with your wallets by choosing alternatives. Trump isnt subject to accountability or beaurocrasy which is his dangerous advantage even if the freedom is enviable. The system will tale years to catch up with him if it does at all. We fight how we can. Keep their stocks plummeting with bad press like with Tesla and we invest as locally as we can or with each other. Most importantly of all, don’t let his supporters influence your current leadership. Fascists are everywhere and they love Trump more than their own people or their own economy.

      Well it might not sounds effective, but it give us exactly the list of stuff to avoid buying for a consumer boycott as opposed to a retaliatory measure
