Dato che recentemente siamo passati al contatore digitale, volevo sapere di cosa si trattava il fuzz, quindi ho deciso di registrarmi su Mijn Fluvius. Fortunatamente, c’รจ un video che mi dice come. O … non importa.

Unit-T, the company responsible for installing the meters is also doing a great job!

-Called at my door saying they will come install a digital meter on July 12th. I say that I will already be definitely NOT home but someone of the 3 other apartments might be. He hangs a poster on the inside of our door with the date and says there’s a number on it we can call to change the date if necessary.

-Nobody will be home that day so I call the number on the poster. The number… doesn’t work…

-After some googling I finally find the right number to call. I tell them we need to change the date because nobody will be home that day. They ask the EAN number of ALL 4 apartments, which I of course don’t have. After contacting the neighbors and getting their EAN numbers I call again. They say there is no appointment on July 12th, but they’ll make one a week later.

-Finally at the later agreed upon date some guys come to install the digital meters, well at least two out of four digital meters. The rest will happen ‘later’.

-I also get to know (don’t remember how) that the appointment on July 12th that suddenly ‘didn’t exist’ went trough. So they went to our place and rang our door but no one was home….

-They hang stickers with a wrong house number on some of the meters. One of my neighbors suddenly receives urgent letters on HER name about this other house number that they will close down electricity soon.

-A few weeks later some other guy from Fluvius or Unit-T suddenly calls at our door. Apparently there is an unlinked meter and he wants to check it out. After some searching he finds out which meter it is. They said it would be a gas meter but it’s an unlinked electricity meter. That’s why he didn’t find it at first.

-Later some guys come to put the meter officially out of service, without an appointment or anything. One of the inhabitants (randomly selected?) gets an invoice of over 200 Euro for this.

-She complains about the ridiculous amount and they say, after ignoring the complaints for a few months and sending reminders and upping the sum, ‘they sent five letters that we needed to make an appointment to put this meter out of service’. These letters were never send.

-After some complaining AT LEAST they agreed that we only needed to pay the standard sum since their bad communication was NOT our fault.

So the correct installing of our meters and all the shit that happened afterwards took nine months in total.

You can make a full human in that time!!! How hard can it be to hang some digital meters and register it correctly.
