Being practical, these men are doomed unless Zelenskyy gets creative.
It is as I said, which is that they snuck out of China like teenage girls sneaking out to see their older boyfriends. Silly and dumb people being taken advantage of because of their lack of sophistication and their hedonistic desire for instant gratification.
Is that worthy of a death sentence? FAFO.
Because they broke Chinese law by fighting for Russia, their organs will serve many rich people from Dubai. If they go back to Russia, they will just end up in a meat assault, which means Ukraine has to do this all over again.
I don’t know that you can keep them in Ukraine, either. China are going to cause trouble to get them back. Russia might send them back, but will probably do so in body bags to end the matter.
Russia did fuck up, though. China do not need this shit right now and it’s surely been crystal clear that their people were always off limits.
I would love to be one of the four IQ points in Donald Trump’s head right now trying to make heads or tails of what’s going on with this. It’s incongruent with his narrow view – and his brain doesn’t do well with cognitive dissonance.
He just doesn’t have the intelligence to process that China, DPRK, and Russia are *the baddies* and that he’s going to have to take a stance against them. And that doesn’t align with the fact he believes Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-Un aren’t laughing at him.
And these guys paid $2,500? for the honor of catching bombs… all for the promise of Russian citizenry? That’s Nigerian Prince levels of stupid.
Hopefully Ukraine can leverage that to get China more annoyed at Russia since China was understandably angry about it looking like they had soldiers involved

This is very telling. They *know* these guys aren’t supposed to be seen, let alone captured. This act isn’t random, as there have been a number of Russian POWs.
Now over which countries orders they’re told to become ‘destroyed human evidence’ is unclear, but it’s clearly very suspicious.

It is easily possible they are just repeating the prepared speech to avoid declaring China is at war. It would create too many issues for Xi.
