This is very like Fr Murphy. The man is an absolute gentleman. Delighted he’s ok.

Wow what a response from the victim, fair play to him! If it were me I don’t know if I could be as charitable. I really hope the young man turns it around as it seems he shows genuine remorse for his actions. I have a feeling the priest will continue to watch over his progress and help him along the way.

Thats all well and good for him but forgiving a person who was found to be reading up on terrorism and jihad is dangerous.

“Full of Grace” is what comes to mind when defining that hug.

Says the boy converted to Islam the previous year. Assuming he was Irish then? Despite what the twitter brigade were claiming.

The boy’s parents should be charged. How do you not report an ISIS flag in his bedroom?

What an absolutely magnanimous man. This is how you combat things like hatred and radicalism.

    8. He’s a catholic chaplin if he didn’t forgive him he’d be kind of ignoring his own faith

Still fair play forgiveness is a positive aspect of the faith

      Huge respect to this man.

Genuine question: was this an incident of terrorism?

Sounds as much a true patriot as Fr. Murphy of 1798, good on him.
