Will not be an easy task to accomplish but.. where there’s a will there’s a way.

I have no idea what the article is about, because it is behind a paywall. However, I am sure everyone will be discussing based on the headline itself, which is close to being a word salad.
This sub is also in mob mentality mode now, so I would not expect a fruitful discussion.

There is no such thing and UE will not defend something that do not exists. We do not need alternatives for US solutions, we need better solutions. Some money will be spend, some will benefit. Nothing will come out of it. Alternatively we can cut off from US solutions, but I doubt that kind of idea will be accepted.
Problem of China is another thing. We can’t compete. They are not only cheaper due to lower salaries but also have lower energy bills and top notch organisation with every aspect of delivery chain in place.

So many things we need to defend… We need to double our defence budgets at least!
