Be interesting to see how a United Ireland would impact some regions in Spain in the very distant future

For those who don’t know, the Basque region (país vasco) is a separatist region. For years they have performed bomb attacks in Spain through their paramilitary front, called ETA.

They have recently stopped these attacks that have lasted over 70 years.

They speak a different language (euskara), they have their own culture, and they often do not consider themselves Spanish. (Much like Cataluña)

The Irish flags are displayed as a gesture of solidarity and cultural identity with Ireland, as they were fighting to be independent. Reportedly they also have ties to Celtic FC.
